Charity party for the Palma Aquarium Foundation

Balearic Islands Day is an opportunity to express our pride in our home, our culture and, above all, our marine environment. This year, at Palma Aquarium, we want to pay tribute to our islands with a major event in aid of a great cause, where every visitor can enjoy, learn and contribute to the conservation of the Mediterranean.

From Friday 28^th February to Sunday 2^nd March, Palma Aquarium will be celebrating Balearic Islands Day in style with a special programme packed with educational and entertainment activities for all the family. This event will also contribute to a good cause, as €2 from the reduced €12 admission fee for residents will be donated to the Palma Aquarium Foundation and its efforts to protect marine life and promote environmental education. By participating in this charity event, you will be contributing to its marine wildlife conservation and rescue projects, as well as educational programmes to raise awareness among the younger generations.

Special activities to connect with the Mediterranean and learn how to protect it

We’ve come up with a unique programme, designed for all ages, featuring experiences that combine entertainment and environmental awareness. With our workshops, games and encounters with marine life, we aim to transmit the value of our marine ecosystem and the importance of protecting it. Experience Lab – The Balearic Sea: Discover the wealth of our marine ecosystem in an interactive space packed with surprises.
ReciclART Workshop – Seahorses: A workshop where our younger visitors can create their very own seahorse using recycled materials while they learn just how important it is to preserve this species.
Meet our rescue sea turtles: A special activity in which you can get close-up to our rescue sea turtles during their recovery and find out what the Palma Aquarium Foundation does in order to release them back into the sea.
Feeding the sharks: A unique opportunity to observe the sharks close-up and learn more about the role they play in keeping the delicate balance of the marine ecosystem.
Octo Quiz: A fun challenge in which you have to demonstrate your knowledge about the ocean – competing against an octopus! Can you beat him?
Sea Turtle Cluedo Room: Become a marine detective and solve the clues to discover what has happened to an endangered sea turtle.
Game – Marine Champions: Do you know which animal holds each oceanic world record? Put your knowledge to the test with this fun challenge.
Echoes of the Mediterranean – “The Palma Aquarium Foundation”: An inspiring talk about the conservation and environmental awareness projects we carry out in order to protect our marine world.

An event with a purpose: to pay tribute to our islands and the Balearic Sea

This special programme is not just a celebration, but also a commitment to the future of our sea. An event that is the perfect occasion to present “Som de la Mar” (We are sea people), a movement that invites the local community to reconnect with the Mediterranean, to learn about and protect its ecosystems, and to fully appreciate the natural wealth of our islands. Through fun and educational activities that change each month, we work to raise environmental awareness and strengthen the bonds with our marine environment.
