Through the RestaurAlcúdia project, promoted by WWF alongside the Alcúdia Town Council and the UIB, the wetlands of Maristany and Estany des Ponts are being restored. This environmental initiative revitalizes both spaces for biodiversity through waste clean-up, the removal of exotic flora, and the recovery of small islands for local bird nesting.
