The magic of Christmas has returned to Palma Aquarium, this time transformed into an authentic Christmas Coral; a celebration where the festive spirit and the fascinating underwater world come together to create memorable experiences.
From 6th December to 6th January, the park will be offering a special programme packed with fabulous activities, guaranteed to delight children and adults alike.
A December long weekend filled with magic
On 6th, 7th and 8th December, visitors will be able to enjoy exclusive activities designed especially for the holiday period:
- Christmas Storytelling: With Conte Contat, the most heart-warming Christmas tales come to life in a unique setting. A perfect event for families seeking a magical moment among the tanks and sea creatures.
- Christmas Experience Labs: Did you know that marine science has a lot to do with Christmas? In these themed laboratories, visitors will discover marine curiosities through dynamic and interactive workshops.
- Snow Art Aquarium: Our younger visitors will have the chance to draw and paint winter animals...and then watch them come to life in a virtual setting! An immersive artistic experience that combines creativity and technology.
- Father Christmas and the Three Wise Men Feed the Sharks: One of the most eagerly awaited traditions is back at the Big Blue: Father Christmas and Their Majesties the Three Wise Men will be visiting Palma Aquarium to feed the sharks, offering visitors a unique and surprising perspective.
What’s more, during this period there will also be special feeding sessions for other animals such as the octopuses and corals.
- Letters to the North Pole and the East: The little ones will have the chance to write their letters and send them straight to their magical destinations thanks to the special letterboxes installed in the part.
Sleeping with the Sharks – Christmas Special
On 19th December, children aged 6 to 12 will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique overnight experience: Sleeping with the Sharks. They will also take part in interactive activities, learn fascinating facts about the marine world, play in the chikipark, listen to bedtime stories – and a host of other surprises! This magical night will give young adventurers the chance to experience something truly memorable.
Diving headfirst into Christmas
Between 20th December and 6th January, the magic will get bigger and better than ever with new events for all the family to enjoy:
- “Coral Reef” workshop: Visitors will be able to create their own coral in a handicraft workshop to make a giant collective coral reef. A creative designed to raise awareness of the important role the marine ecosystems play.
- Kinetic Sand Workshop: Children can make marine animals out of kinetic sand, boosting their imagination and connection with the ocean.
- Coral Gymkhana: An interactive activity that invites visitors to explore the park by completing challenges and stamping a special passport. Once completed, children can take part in a festive picker wheel with guaranteed prizes.
