Following the guidelines of the Balearic Government and after the exceptional measures taken at the national level by the impact of the Covid-19, Palma Aquarium joins the temporary suspension of its activity. For this reason, starting tomorrow, March 14, it will keep its facilities closed, in order to guarantee the public health of both its visitors and its workers.
We have acted at all times under the prevention standards dictated by the WHO and by the competent health authorities and for this reason, we find ourselves in the need to stop the activity. In this way we hope to contribute and avoid risks of spreading the virus. Palma Aquarium trusts that these initiatives contribute to containing the transmission of Covid-19.
Animal welfare continues to be a priority for Palma Aquarium, so the team of caretakers will continue to maintain their usual activity.
During the time that Palma Aquarium remains closed, it will continue to be active on social networks to continue showing the beauty of the oceans and raising awareness of the importance of its preservation on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
