Summer is the perfect time for enjoying the sea and new experiences, as well as making unforgettable family memories. At Palma Aquarium, we have prepared a special programme designed to ensure that every visit combines fun, learning and conservation, making it the perfect plan for the hottest months of the year.
As well as exploring one of Europe’s leading aquariums and discovering more than 8,000 animals and 700 species, this summer you can enjoy daily activities designed for all ages and experiences that will bring you closer than ever to the fascinating marine world.
One of top new attractions for this summer is the Splash Pad, our newly renovated water play area designed for children to cool off while having fun.
Interactive water jets, marine-themed features, water games and a giant palm tree with a tipping water bucket make this the ideal spot for taking a break during your visit before continuing with your fun-filled day. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towel!
Each day, you can take part in the packed programme of activities designed by our Ocean Experts to reveal the secrets of the ocean in an engaging and interactive way.
Our Experience Labs provide an insight into the importance of ecosystems such as Posidonia seagrass meadows and coral reefs, as well as an opportunity to learn fascinating facts about sharks and pelagic species, and find out how we work to protect the Mediterranean Sea.
The Ocean Expert Talks bring the marine world closer to the whole family through dynamic talks, games and fascinating insights into some of the planet’s most remarkable species.
You can also attend our commentated feeding sessions, and watch our specialists feed sea turtles, sharks, rays, corals, and octopuses while explaining their behaviour, biology, and the care they receive to ensure their wellbeing.
Another of the most eagerly awaited activities is the Shark Diver Interactions, where our divers share what their daily work involves and answer visitors’ questions from inside the shark tank.
If you’d like to make your visit even more special, Palma Aquarium offers a range of experiences designed to help you discover the ocean from completely different perspectives.
Swim alongside our rays with the Snorkelling with Rays experience, take on the thrill of Diving with Sharks, or admire the Big Blue from the Shark Vision Boat, a glass-bottom vessel that allows you to observe sharks from a privileged viewpoint.
You can also enjoy an immersive adventure in our Aquadome 3D Cinema, explore the ocean through Virtual Reality, or discover what goes on behind the scenes with the Backstage Tour, an exclusive visit that reveals the day-to-day work of our teams and how we care for the animals.
