The MOVES III Programme, which is also frequently referred to as the ‘Plan MOVES III’ is a Spanish government initiative designed to promote sustainable mobility. The programme provides financial support to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles and the installation of charging facilities. MOVES III is included in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and aligns with one of its cross-cutting focus areas: ecological transition. It is a measure aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting cleaner, more efficient transport in Spain.
Palma Aquarium has installed 5 charging points for electric vehicles: an electric charger in the staff car park, at a cost of €5,044.32, and four electric chargers in the visitors’ car park, for a total investment of €22,679.55: €1,250.66 and €5,623.02 respectively were subsidised by the MOVES III programme, funded by the European Union’s Next Generation funds through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of Spain’s Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
