It is a fairly unknown species due to its scarcity and wide distribution.
It is catalogued as ‘Vulnerable’ to extinction by the Red Book of invertebrates in Andalusia, included in Appendix II of the CITES Convention and catalogued by the IUCN as Vulnerable in its Red List of threatened species in the Mediterranean.
